Green Course Description: By PGA Golf Professional Scott Magee
#1 Wakefield Valley starts out with a slight dogleg left. A stream running across the fairway could come into play on your tee shot as well as your approach onto this two-tier green.
#2 A tee shot down the left side of fairway to avoid a pond on right is favorable on this Par 4. A good drive will leave a short approach shot to a green guarded by two bunkers.
#3 A long Par5 that zig zags its way around a stream that comes into play on every shot. A well-placed lay up shot will leave a short iron in to a large two-tier green.
#4 At first glance this long Par4 seems relatively straightforward. However, the creek on right side and out of bounds on left of fairway leaves little room for error. With a ball in play there will be a mid to long iron approach shot in to a large green guarded by three bunkers.
#5 A long Par3 with an oversized green that slopes from front to back guarded by 3 bunkers and water hazards.
#6 A short dogleg left where a good tee shot will leave a short approach shot into an elevated green. Stay right, because a rock quarry will block out a tee shot that is hit left.
#7 This Par 4 is a sharp dogleg left where a well placed tee shot is key for a likable approach shot into a green that is sloped from back to front.
#8 A reachable Par 5 that turns 90 degrees at the halfway point. A long tee shot down the left center of the fairway will give you an opportunity to go at a green surrounded by bunkers and a water hazard.
#9 A long Par3 with an elevated green guarded by bunkers that almost always plays into the wind. Club selection is essential on this hole to get it close to the pin.
White Course Description
#1 A short dogleg left Par 4 with out of bounds on right requires a tee shot in the fairway to avoid trouble. Avoid being short on approach shot into this elevated green with three bunkers guarding the front.
#2 A breathtaking Par 5 that almost always three strategically placed shots to set up a birdie. A large water hazard that guard the large green that is sloped from front to back.
#3 A downhill par 3 that can be deceiving with water in front and bunkers on left. Make sure you know the distance or you could be taking a drop from the hazard.
#4 A long downhill Par 4 with out of bounds on right. A good tee shot down the left hand side will leave you a mid iron into a long green that valleys in the middle.
#5 This Par 5 requires three good shots to set up a birdie opportunity. Stay right off the tee, hit the second up the left hand side and wedge it close to this severely sloped green.
#6 A signature Par 3 over water into a two tier green guarded by three bunkers. Take enough club to keep the ball out of the hazard.
#7 This Par 5 requires a tee shot in the fairway for any chance of reaching it in two. The second half of hole is all up hill where a good lay up shot will leave a short approach to the putting surface.
#8 Long and uphill is the best way to describe this Par 3 with two bunkers guarding the green. If you have to miss, miss left!
#9 The downhill Par 4 is a great finishing hole for this course. A tee shot in the fairway will leave a short approach shot into a large green guarded by three large bunkers.
Gold Course Description
#1 The gold nine begins with a short Par 4, where a good tee shot will leave you a mid to short iron approach into an elevated green that is littered with bunkers.
#2 This long Par 4 favors a tee shot down the right hand side to avoid a water hazard that comes into play off the tee, as well as on the approach shot toward this elevated two-tier green.
#3 A downhill tee shot for this Par 5 shortens the hole a little bit. However reaching the green in two is difficult, due to the narrow fairway and four bunkers that approach the green.
#4 This dogleg left Par 5 almost commands a lay up shot in order to stay out of trouble. The green is sloped from back to front and is guarded by a stream running from the front of green to the right of the green. Even a short approach can be tricky with a poor club selection.
#5 A straight out Par 4 with an enormous fairway bunker on right side. Club selection is key with approach shot into this green.
#6 With a shallow two-tier green and trouble in front, be sure to club correctly on this Par 3.
#7 A tee shot down the left side of this hole is ideal for this short dogleg right Par 4. After the drive all that should be left is a short approach to the putting surface.
#8 The signature hole on the Gold Course. The only option you have here is to hit the green on this Par 3, which is completely surrounded by water.
#9 The Par 4 ninth is a fabulous finishing hole. A slight dogleg right with an uphill approach shot into a green guarded by two bunkers in front and the clubhouse as the backdrop.
